Awakening
Awakening is an early bronze figure by sculptor Gilbert Ledward OBE, located in Roper’s Garden very close to the house in which he was born, and is considered by many to be one of his best works.
We wanted to enhance the sensual form and evocative title of this sculpture by envisaging the dreamlike moments between deep sleep and rising to an awakened state.
